It is also a nesting site for loggerhead sea turtles, offering visitors a chance to see these magnificent creatures. Strict regulations are in place to preserve the natural habitat and prevent environmental degradation.

Popularity and Recognition: Spiaggia dei Conigli has received numerous accolades and has been featured in various travel magazines and websites as one of the top beaches in the world. The beach is also known as pùligi de nie (snow fleas) because of its round, white and pink pebbles mixed with sand. Cala Mariolu, in the Baunei area, owes its name to the monk seal that stole the catch from the fishermen of Ponza, hence mariolo (thief).

Its panorama is so impressive due to its infinite shades of blue, emerald green and mid-blue, and the snowflake-like pebbles. The 1.650-feet (500 meter)-high cliff that surrounds it drops steeply both to the north and to the south. For this reason, Cala Mariolu can only be reached by land via a difficult path (for experts) through dense Mediterranean forest.

Watch out: There is no more sun on this stretch of beach from around 4 pm. It therefore makes sense to arrive a little earlier in the day. In addition to being one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, the bay of Cala Mariolu in Sardinia is even considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe! It is therefore definitely worth a visit.

Special Features:

Crystal-Clear Waters: The waters at Cala Mariolu are exceptionally clear with a distinctive emerald hue which adds to its exotic appeal. It’s a perfect spot for snorkeling and swimming. The underwater visibility allows visitors to see a variety of marine life and colorful fish.

Unique Pebble Beach: Unlike typical sandy beaches, Cala Mariolu is composed of small, rounded white pebbles mixed with sand, giving it a unique texture and appearance, and making the water appear even more vibrant.

Dramatic Limestone Cliffs and Caves: The beach is surrounded by impressive towering limestone cliffs that provide a dramatic backdrop. These cliffs also feature numerous sea caves that can be explored by boat or while snorkeling. It is a snorkeler’s paradise with rich marine biodiversity.

Marine Life: The rich marine environment makes Cala Mariolu a popular spot for divers and snorkelers. The clear waters and abundant sea life offer an exceptional underwater experience.

Secluded Location: Cala Mariolu is relatively remote and not easily accessible by land, which adds to its charm and exclusivity. Most visitors reach the beach by boat, which can be rented from nearby towns such as Cala Gonone or Santa Maria Navarrese.

Scenic Hiking Trails: For those who prefer land-based adventures, there are challenging hiking trails leading to Cala Mariolu, offering stunning views of the coastline and the Mediterranean Sea.

Tropea Beach, Calabria

In the far south, at the end of the Italian boot in Calabria, lies the small town of Tropea. With its well-preserved old town and its famous cathedral, Santa Maria dell’Isola, the town of 6,500 inhabitants is one of the most popular destinations for tourists, not only from Europe. It is not without reason that the town is also known as the “Pearl of Calabria”.

The special thing about Tropea: a picturesque sandy beach with azure blue water lies directly below the old town. And that’s not all. If you want a particularly quiet place, you can simply drive a little further along the coast. There are many more small bays to discover, which are a little more secluded. The rock formations and caves also invite you to go on a discovery tour.

Special Features:

Stunning Scenery
Tropea Beach is renowned for its breathtaking scenery. The picturesque town of Tropea, perched atop these cliffs, offers a stunning backdrop, with its charming historic buildings and narrow streets.

Pristine Waters
Pristine clear and turquoise waters make it a popular destination for swimming, snorkeling, and other water activities. The clean and inviting sea is one of the main attractions for visitors.

Soft, White Sand
Tropea Beach features soft, white sand that contrasts beautifully with the blue of the sea. This fine sand makes it a comfortable place to relax, sunbathe, and enjoy the coastal beauty.

Historic Charme
One of the most iconic sights near Tropea Beach is Santa Maria dell’Isola, a historic monastery situated on a rocky promontory overlooking the beach. This picturesque church adds to the charm and historical significance of the area, providing a stunning vantage point for panoramic views of the coastline.

Rich History and Culture
The town of Tropea itself is rich in history and culture, dating back to ancient times.
Molise is a region steeped in history, characterized by numerous tasty food and wine delicacies, but also by rich nature reserves and villages that seem crystallized in history. A destination still undiscovered, with marvelous seashores and breathtaking high cliffs.

The small region on the lower Adriatic coast is still one of the insider tips of the Apennine Peninsula: over just 90 km / 56 miles from the mountains to the sea. The impressions of mountain panoramas, lush landscapes with vineyards and olive groves and the long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean merge into a colorful overall picture.

Bathing fun on the coast, art monuments, charming little villages and hiking opportunities on traditional paths such as the Tratturi – ancient cattle paths for grazing – make the Molise region a varied vacation destination.

Molise, the region of sheep tracks and magnificent landscapes

This small but generous region of pristine nature boasts a long history, a rich artistic heritage, ancient traditions and delicious gastronomy.

Molise is still a little-known destination, which only serves to make it all the more interesting! For sure you will enjoy exploring its ski resorts, hills, coastline with sandy beaches, historic transhumance routes and countless nature reserves that protect the plant and animal species that live in the area.

Molise is embedded by neighboring regions Abruzzo, Lazio, Campania and Puglia. Although it doesn’t have any famous and spectacular beach towns, it is located on the Adriatic Coast. Molise is the second smallest region of Italy, in terms of area and population after the Aosta Valley.

The main cities of Molise

Termoli is an ancient town with fortified walls, dominated by the imposing Swabian Castle and awarded Europe’s Blue Flag on numerous occasions thanks to the marvelous clarity of its sea. At this popular destination, you can find sports facilities, state-of-the-art hotel services and well-equipped beaches.

Campobasso, the capital of the region, offers truly unique views. Among its iconic symbols are the Castle Monforte, a national monument and the city’s highest point perched on top of a hill; the Church of San Giorgio, dating back to the 12th century and boasting a Gothic style; and the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate, with its beautiful late-Renaissance façade and lavish Baroque interior.

The province is home to countless archaeological finds, such as the village of Campomarino, which dates back to prehistoric times, and numerous necropolises.

Isernia, the capital of the Samnite peoples, has a very ancient history, told today through its narrow, traditional alleyways.

The Fontana Fraterna (“Fraternal Fountain”) is one of its best-known monuments in the area: it has six water jets and a fascinating loggia shape made of limestone blocks, most likely from ancient Roman monuments. Finally, Ferrazzano is a village known for its houses that all seem to embrace one another: they are built very close together to protect from the cold weather. Located in a strategic position on the ancient Molise communication routes, it offers wonderful views

What to see in Molise

During a vacation in Molise, it is well worth taking the time to visit Campitello Matese, a ski resort with 40 kilometers / 25 miles of slopes, rich in lakes, forests, caves and grottos, and meadows, as well as unique paths ideal for walking, horse riding, mountain biking or quad biking, and even paragliding.

A trip to the province of Isernia gives you the opportunity to admire the Abbey of San Vincenzo al Volturno. This ancient monastic building where time seems to stand still brings together history, spirituality and pristine surrounding nature.

While in the area, be sure not to miss out on a visit to the well-kept Lake of Castel San Vincenzo in the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, where you can see the peaks of the Mainarde Mountains reflected in the sparkling turquoise water, surrounded by forests. Though it does not look artificial, it was built in the late 1950s as a means of generating hydroelectric power.

Fornelli, one of the most beautiful villages in Molise, definitely deserves a stop. Known as the Land of Towers from the Norman and Angevin periods, but also as the City of Oil, thanks to the excellent quality of the oil produced in its countryside, it boasts a historical center and urban structure that have remained unchanged over the centuries.

Unusual places in Molise: 3 destinations for curious visitors

Intrigued by destinations off the beaten tourist track?

Try searching for the tratturi, ancient beaten-grass sheep tracks along which shepherds, from pre-Roman times until a couple of centuries ago, would move their flocks each season. This well-known phenomenon of the transhumance of livestock has marked the rural South by following strict routes and ensuring an economic livelihood even in the most isolated areas.

Or you can keep an eye out for the Sanctuary of Castelpetroso in the province of Isernia. Looking like a medieval castle, it stands in the middle of the woods and has a history of alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary, dating back to 1888, when the Virgin is said to have appeared with the bleeding Jesus in her arms as an offering to humanity.

Finally, it is also worth visiting Sant’Angelo Limosano, a village sat on a hill 900 meters / one mile above sea level that dominates the Biferno valley, offering panoramic views that even reach as far as the Tremiti Islands, weather permitting.

The Day of Lovers on February 14 has more to offer than chocolates, red roses and candlelight dinners. Valentine’s Day in Italy is the ideal opportunity for a romantic getaway for two. If you are looking for inspiration about a trip with which to surprise your loved one, here are five ideas for celebrating love with a romantic weekend in Italy.

A food and wine tour in the historic villages of Trentino

Photo: Visit Trentino/Tommaso Prugnola

In its valleys the Trentino region encompasses a host of small romantic villages – recognized by the association of “Borghi più Belli d’Italia” (“the most beautiful villages of Italy”) – with stone houses, courtyards and old barns, each offering home-style recipes worth tasting, the ideal locations for a romantic trip to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Your couple’s itinerary can start from Canale di Tenno, a medieval village on a hill overlooking the turquoise waters of Lake Tenno. A little further on, you’ll find Rango, an amazing example of rural alpine architecture. After a walk hand-in-hand among its barns and cobbled streets, make sure you try the famous Bleggio walnut pie. From here, you can set off again towards San Lorenzo in Banale, set between the Brenta Dolomites and Lake Garda. Scattered over seven hamlets, this village is an invitation to discover ancient rural traditions and tasty traditional food.

Overlooking Lake Idro you’ll find Bondone, an ancient village of coalmen. There you can venture into its labyrinth of lanes admiring the frescoes that decorate the facades of the houses. Try an energizing polenta carbonera, a hit of the cuisine from Trentino. Then move to the eastern side of Trentino to discover romantic Mezzano. The village at the foot of the wonderful Pala Group will bowl you over with its cataste e canzei, a permanent exhibition of wooden architectures. Before leaving try tosela di Primiero, a local cheese best sampled with polenta and luganega from Trentino. Your romantic tour through the historic villages of Trentino can end in Vigo di Fassa, a sunny village from which you can admire the Marmolada, the queen of the Dolomites, as she turns pink at sunset. Don’t miss out on visiting a couple of museums and tasting typical Ladin dishes like cajoncie da fighes and cher de fascia.

Three days immersed in the beauty of Maremma

Photo: Visit Tuscany/Bernward Harz

If you want a Valentine’s Day at a slow pace dedicated to wellness and culture, we recommend a romantic weekend in the Maremma area, in southern Tuscany. Enjoy thermal springs, historic villages and idyllic landscapes. Your ideal starting point could be Saturnia. The town features an archaeological park hosting ruins from the Etruscan and Roman ages, striking natural waterfalls of thermal water – the Cascate del Mulino – as well as some of the most famous thermal baths in the world, dating as far back as ancient times. Having left Saturnia, head for Sovana, in the heart of the Tuff area. Sovana is a noteworthy Etruscan center, medieval and Renaissance village, and episcopal center. It will amaze you with its houses carved out of tuff and its exquisite medieval palaces. Just beyond it, you’ll come across Sorano. The ancient city was founded in the most flourishing Etruscan period. Browse workshops of the craftsmen and women who make and sell picturesque ceramic artefacts, visit the Renaissance fortress and the archaeological park of the City of Tuff, with its necropolis carved into the rocks.

Your next stop will be Pitigliano, a center built thousands of years ago, located on a cliff, also carved out of tuff. Plan your visit at sunset, and treat your eyes to a host of breathtaking, romantic views. Pitigliano preserves traces of prehistoric settlements, Etruscan tombs and Roman ruins. You can also stroll through the old alleys of the Jewish ghetto, which earned it the title of “Little Jerusalem”. Appreciate the excellent white wines produced locally, especially the Bianco di Pitigliano. To round off your romantic trip, we recommend Capalbio. This historic village is surrounded by walls and full of medieval architecture, skimmed by the rolling hills of the Maremma scrub and unspoilt beaches. Last but not least, before leaving, take a stroll in the beautiful nature reserve surrounding the shores of Lake Burano.

A romantic weekend at Lake Garda

Photo: Garda Lombardia/Michael Dernbach_creativecommons

Lake Garda offers the right combination of relaxation, nature and culture, perfect for a Valentine’s Day packed with ideas and attractions. The most suitable location for your sweet weekend for two has to be Sirmione, with its peninsula stretching out on the lake, its striking views and historic center. Sirmione is fascinating to cover on foot, to explore attractions like the Scaligero Castle and the Roman ruins of the Grottoes of Catullus, and the location’s characteristic alleys. It is also an amazing destination to visit on board a motorboat, for an ultra-scenic perspective of this beautiful town. As well as the rich cultural wealth offered by its historic center, Sirmione is also an ideal venue for a relaxing trip thanks to its famous thermal baths, overlooking the lake, as their famous waters have unrivalled therapeutic and preventive properties.

In the evening, head to nearby Desenzano. Enjoy an aperitif and dinner, and take a romantic walk along the walls of the Castle, admiring the lights of the lake from above. Your romantic tour can then continue further north, in Gardone Riviera. It is one of the most famous resorts of Lake Garda, affording amazing views of Mount Baldo. Here you can visit the “Vittoriale degli italiani”, residence of Gabriele D’Annunzio. A little farther on, you’ll find the renowned center of Salò, rich in history, architecture and art, where you can stroll along the pretty lakefront or enjoy some typical Garda cuisine, with delicious dishes made from freshly caught fish.

Recharge your batteries in an original maso in South Tyrol

If you want to pamper yourself with a Valentine’s Day in Italy dedicated not only to the mind and body, but also to the palate, choose something different. A trip of discovery to South Tyrol, and a stay in one of its traditional masi, ancient rural homes turned into cozy agritourism facilities and excellent bed & breakfasts. In the masi of the “Gallo Rosso” group, 1.600 ‘holiday farms’ scattered all over South Tyrol, in both isolated and central locations, you can enjoy an out-of-the ordinary experience, rediscovering old agricultural customs at a slow pace. This is the perfect occasion to taste some authentic flavors, enjoy rural life surrounded by nature and also recuperate your psychological and physical wellbeing with hay saunas, milk baths, detoxifying treatments and reinvigorating massages.

And while relaxing the mind and pampering the body, it’s then time to take care of your taste buds. The host of the maso will offer you the chance to taste the typical home cooking of South Tyrol, full of local produce and characteristic flavors. You will also learn how to recognize herbs and the virtues of plants, secrets handed down from generation to generation. And if there is some other aspect of country life that interests you, aside from wellness, just ask! There is a maso for all needs and tastes: in addition to masi dedicated to wellness, in the Gallo Rosso group you will find also masi specialized in sports activities, food & wine, organic farming and historic houses, all perfectly kept, providing you with the ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in the splendor of bygone days.

Valentine’s Day in Verona, the city of love

Photo: Turismo Verona/Ferruccio Dall’Aglio

A Valentine’s Day in Italy wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the City of Love. If for Valentine’s Day you want to spend a weekend with your partner in the ultimate romantic location, there is only one obvious choice: Verona, the city where Shakespeare set the most famous romance of all times: that of Romeo and Juliet. The myth of the two lovers lives again in the medieval Juliet’s House, but also in the ancient squares of the city, its lanes, courtyards, fascinating views and along the meanders of river Adige. To mark Valentine’s Day, the city of Verona is organizing the event Verona in Love. From February 9 to 14, 2025, the most atmospheric corners of the city, from Piazza Bra to Juliet’s House, will be decorated and illuminated in red; there will also be markets in the city with local handicrafts (in the classic heart shape), tastings, guided walks for couples in search of the secrets and legends of Romeo and Juliet, themed evenings and many other romantic surprises. New this year is a music competition for young Italian cantautori, where the best love song will be awarded the Premio Arte d’Amore. Sports enthusiasts, on the other hand, can prove their fitness in the footsteps of Romeo and Juliet in the half marathon on February 15 through the city of love.

Discover Umbria in a very different way: Snowshoe hiking in the Sibillini Mountains.

If you love snow and want a worthy alternative to skis, we suggest an increasingly popular sport: the “ciaspolata” or, snowshoeing.

The most suitable area in Umbria to try out this experience is the area of Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini near Castelluccio di Norcia. The Piana di Castelluccio, beautiful and enchanting not only during the ‘fiorita’ (flowering) in summer, is frequently covered with snow (the plain is at circa 1350 meters above sea level) as is the adjacent Monte Vettore. The temperatures in winter are very cold and can even reach -30 degrees centigrade. These ideal conditions ensure there are heavy snowfalls, creating fantastic expanses suitable for snowshoe hiking. In this area you can choose between various trails and snowshoe hiking experiences, which will allow you to discover corners of the plain, or follow specific circular routes that surround the mountains.

You can choose whether to dedicate yourself to the pian Piccolo, from where you can see the village of Castelluccio and discover the beautiful woods that surround it, or whether to climb the trails along Vettore, which are more difficult with a greater difference in altitude. Alternatively, why not try one of the excursions organized at night or just as dusk settles: you will always remember the colors of the sun on the snow as it sets in one of the most enchanting landscapes in Italy.

We also suggest a snowshoe hike up to the Pantani di Accumoli. The trail starts at the parking lot of the Genziana Refuge, with your back to Mount Carrier. You walk towards Monte Signori up to the Pantani di Accumoli where the sky meets the earth in the small lakes hidden in a valley immersed in the snow. The Pantani di Accumoli are lakes of glacial origin located on the border between the Sibillini Mountains and the Monti della Laga, nestled in a small valley surrounded by pastures and panoramic landscapes.

Another choice is a walk in the Colfiorito di Foligno swamp near Perugia. It is a protected natural area and the smallest regional park in Umbria. The Piani di Colfiorito, or Plestine Plateaus, are made up of seven karst basins, occupied in distant times by lakes. The Palude di Colfiorito is currently the only area of the highlands where the water remains all year round. It is the reference point for a large number of birds, which build their nests in the reeds, reproduce and feed. The trail is of medium difficulty, starting from the swallow hole of the Colfiorito swamp. It will lead you to reach the CAI path 308, climbing and skirting the Monte Orve, up to the pass of the hamlet of Annifo.

Or, you can hike up Monte Terminillo, on the border between Umbria and the province of Rieti. The hike will take place in one of the most beautiful and uncontaminated places in Terminillo, from the Sebastiani Refuge to the Vallonina amphitheater. The walk will lead to the Sebastiani refuge, from where you can admire the highest peaks of the area: Mount Elefante, the valley of the Sun, the three peaks of Terminillo, the east wall. You can then continue up to the Chiaretti saddle to admire the walls of Terminillo from below and from very close, to then descend towards Vallonina, skirting Monte Porcini.

Going around these locations with snowshoes “forces” you to walk slowly and fully savor every detail of the experience: the breath-taking scenery, the silence that surrounds you, the softness of the snow under your feet. These are all the hallmarks of a unique and unforgettable experience.

At the entrance of Alpemare, guests are greeted by a lush and unique pine forest. The Beach Club offers 120 splendid tents, each with a cabin equipped with a safe, USB ports, and a courtesy kit. Iconic, historical cabins were rebuilt with high attention to aesthetics and functionality. With the addition of modern elegance, the cabins have been restructured to feature a stunning view of the sea.

New rules against mass tourism

If you want to explore the Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera in the high season, you have to be prepared for a new regime. The national park has introduced several measures to better manage the flow of tourists.

Cinque Terre, which is made up of five picturesque villages on the Ligurian Riviera, have issued new rules for travelers. Among other things, higher prices are intended to stem the flow of tourists.

This means that train tickets are more expensive in the high season. At weekends, on public holidays and generally in summer, tourists will pay twice as much for train travel between villages as before. Specifically, the regional ticket for the six-kilometer (4 miles) route between Riomaggiore and Manarola now costs ten euros instead of five. Locals, on the other hand, benefit from discounts.

In the fight against mass tourism, the Cinque Terre National Park has also taken countermeasures. Around the Italian public holidays, the “Sentiero Verde Azzurro”, one of the most popular hiking routes in the region, is now subject to a “one-way system” – from 9 am to 2 pm. The new regime was implemented for the first time in April and early May.

Shoes will also be checked

The measure, which was tested last year, concerns the route from Monterosso to Vernazza. In order to regulate access to the hiking trail, there are checks at the entrance to Monterosso. Among other things, they check whether visitors are equipped with the right footwear for the hike on the steep paths. If the crowds on the “Sentiero Verde Azzurro” are too big, the excursionists are diverted to alternative routes.
The initial assessment of those responsible is positive. Donatella Bianchi, President of the National Park, says: “I took a look for myself on the path between Mᴏnterosso and Vernazza. It was orderly and respectful tourism, which is good for the Cinque Terre.” The measures against mass tourism apply in the national park 19 days a year.

Historic Versatility

Pesaro’s history, which has been shaped by noble families over the centuries, comes to life in the city center in particular: Whether Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Olivieri Marchielli, Palazzo Montani Antaldi or the municipal museum Musei civici, which houses one of the finest collections of Italian Renaissance and Baroque ceramics – the relics bear witness to a flourishing past. Architectural monuments such as the Rocca Costanza fortress or the manor houses Villa Imperiale and Villa Caprile, which can be found in the nearby Monte San Bartolo Regional Park, also provide a glimpse into Pesaro’s impressive history. Villino Ruggeri, on the other hand, is one of the most extravagant buildings in the city and is one of the finest examples of Italian Art Nouveau. And the spherical bronze sculpture “Sfera Grande di Arnaldo Pomodoro” is one of the most popular photo motifs.

Lively Music History

The world-famous composer Gioachino Rossini, who was born in this Adriatic town, is a must-see in Pesaro. As the creator of many great works – including the popular opera “Figaro” – he is honored once a year as part of the Rossini Opera Festival. But there are also many other museums and places dedicated to the maestro – such as his birthplace Casa Rossini, the Rossini Theater, the National Rossini Museum and the Conservatory. Another musical great is closely associated with Pesaro. The Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti spent much of his life in his house in Baia Flaminia.

Italian Capital of Culture 2024

Pesaro has a packed calendar of events – popular highlights for visitors include the walk under the stars and the harbor festival with fireworks show. As the Italian Capital of Culture 2024, the city and the province want to become a cultural project that highlights the region’s characteristic combination of nature, technology and innovation and will be showcased in crafts, design, cinema, digital art, production, music and gastronomy. The latter will of course include the delicious “Pizza Rossini” with mayonnaise and eggs, a unique specialty of the city.

Snow, forest bathing and yoga: the other winter in Friuli Venezia Giulia

Ski on the slopes, but also walks in the snow, in the silence of the woods or on the top of the trails. After last year’s stop, the desire for the mountains is back strong and in Friuli Venezia Giulia the winter season in complete safety, with renewed systems, new proposals and regenerating activities for everyone.

From the new chairlift dedicated to the Giro d’Italia to the maintenance and improvement of the slopes, along the entire Alpine arc, from the Dolomites to the Julian Alps passing through Carnia, there are many opportunities to spend relaxing moments in close contact with nature, regenerate and practice sports in an evocative setting.

Giro d’Italia Chairlift

Among the novelties, therefore, the new “Giro d’Italia” chairlift on the Zoncolan, the first six-seater chairlift in the region, stands out. The completely renovated facility is located in one of the symbolic locations for lovers of skiing, but also of cycling: called the Kaiser, known as one of the toughest climbs for athletes, the Zoncolan houses the new facility that can be used even in the hottest season to transport bikes.

Not just snow on the peaks of the Pordenone mountains, Valcellina offers workshops to work straw, cooking classes and courses to learn how to make cheeses and ricotta. For those who love to immerse themselves in nature, the proposals range from skiing to walking, some of which to be practiced with or without snowshoes along the paths of the Pordenone mountains.

Snow activities

In Carnia you can go cross-country skiing with the champions Silvio Fauner and Pietro Piller Cottrer, including downhill runs and tracks. Urban trekking through the streets of the old Sappada village is another activity on the map. For those who want to immerse themselves in the heart of Carnia, stop on the Zoncolan, where ski lovers will find thematic descents and excursions with snowshoes, and horseback riding in the snow. Also in Carnia, Forni di Sopra / Sauris is the ideal destination for a holiday with children and family: hockey and games in the snow, torchlight hikes along the Tagliamento river and the opportunity to try their hand at biathlon.

The Tarvisiano is the right destination if you are looking for a mix of nature, downhill and cross-country skiing, walks and the opportunity to immerse yourself in the woods, with the thousand-year-old forest of Tarvisio, the largest in Italy. The Julian Alps, with the Lussari at the top which houses the Marian sanctuary, will be the backdrop to the walks. Forest bathing and yoga can be practiced in the middle of the trees. Excursions with fat bikes and even historical walks will let you discover this corner of the Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Friuli Venezia Giulia offers approximately 63 miles of slopes served by 41 complex ski lifts and 34 carpets distributed in the six districts of the region: Piancavallo, Sappada, Forni di Sopra-Sauris, Zoncolan, Tarvisio, Sella Nevea.
